    ESPN's Malika Andrews Going Viral After Handling an Earthquake on Live TV

    Shortly after 12:20 p.m. local time on Monday, August 12, the Los Angeles, California area was struck with a 4.4 magnitude earthquake, according to the Los Angeles Times . Per the AP , "the quake comes less than a week after a 5.2 magnitude temblor hit southern California and was also widely felt in Los Angeles."

    Among those affected were ESPN's Los Angeles studios, which were in the middle of live TV broadcasts.

    After video began to circulate on social media, reactions and reviews quickly poured in for Andrews' professionalism.

    "ESPN Los Angeles studio shaking from an earthquake during NBA Today and Malika Andrews handled it like a pro," the Awful Announcing account wrote on X.

    One poster wrote : "Malika Andrews just handled an earthquake on live TV like I swat flies. That was wild. It was like someone sneezed and she said “bless you” and kept it moving!

    "I was stunned by both the earthquake and how @malika_andrews handled it like a boss. Wow," wrote fellow basketball analyst and former WNBA player Rebecca Lobo wrote on X.

    Another fan added , "This is All-World composure from @malika_andrews to recognize an earthquake in progress during a live show and not lose her 💩 on air 😅"

    The earthquake, originally reported as a 4.6 magnitude, was later downgraded to a 4.4 and no injuries were immediately reported.
