There were a lot of stars at the 2024 Summer Olympics, but nobody managed to shine brighter than Simone Biles, who racked up four medals, three of which were gold, during the Games in Paris.

As a result, it wasn't a surprise to see her holding the Olympic flag at the closing ceremony as it was passed from the city of Paris to the city of Los Angeles.

Alongside Biles for this part of the ceremony was Karen Bass, who is the mayor of Los Angeles. There's no doubt that the star American gymnast's involvement in this part of the ceremony was awesome, and after it concluded, Bass shared a powerful message on social media, highlighting the honor that came with standing besides Biles.

Biles has had an impact on fans everywhere for years now, but it was truly incredible to see her bounce back from her disappointing outing at the 2020 Olympics and star like she just did in Paris.

Her success prompted an inspirational message from Bass, imploring female athletes everywhere to use Biles as a role model in their own athletic pursuits.

While the Olympics may have just wrapped up, fans everywhere will be anxious to see Biles return to action considering what she just managed to accomplish over the past few weeks.
