Botswana Olympics Fans Go Viral For Mocking Noah Lyles Needing Medical Attention After 200-Meter Event

Noah Lyles had quite a go of it at the 2024 Summer Olympics, as he won gold in the men's 100-meter event and bronze in the men's 200-meter event.

While Lyles was favored to win the 200-meter event, it was revealed after the conclusion of the race that the star Team USA sprinter had been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Lyles powered through to win bronze, but he ultimately saw Botswana's Letsile Tebogo take home the gold medal. After the race, Lyles needed medical attention due to the fact that he was dealing with COVID, and a video of Botswana fans taunting his reaction has recently gone viral on social media.

The incident was certainly scary for Lyles, as he seemed to be in a great deal of pain, and needed to be wheelchaired off the track as a result.

These fans simply did not seem to care, though, as they ruthlessly made fun of Lyles for his actions after the race.

Thankfully, Lyles revealed a couple days after this race that he was COVID free. Now, fans will be anxiously waiting to see him in action again after his rather hectic stint in Paris for the 2024 Games.
