From day one of Charles Barkley's public posturing to potentially leave TNT, the people in the studio, outside of the on-screen talent, weighed heavy on the former Phoenix Suns star's mind. Recently, Barkley stated he wants to give everyone behind the scenes for the Inside the NBA crew a $5000 gift. In a recent interview with Dan Le Batard , Barkley revealed another financial sacrifice he made for his beloved crew.

"My No. 1 thing for me is that my people at Turner get to keep their job for at least another year", Barkley claimed following the news of Barkley not leaving TNT for another network.

According to the TNT star, Barkley spoke with every NBA media partner to find a potential fit on the respective networks or streaming sites. However, the idea of Ernie Johnson leaving Turner causes a rift, as without Johnson, it's not Inside the NBA, regardless of what some network or streaming service attempts.

Despite Barkley's return, the NBA, at least regarding game broadcasts, is not in TNT's future. However, David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, revealed some of his plans for Barkley, alluding to spreading the media star throughout multiple programs.

However, in helping others, occasionally, you must sacrifice your well-being. Barkley claimed he took a financial hit to help his TNT crew keep their jobs for at least another year.

"A minimum of $100 million. A minimum," Barkley said.

Although Barkley is not a saint, as he said, "I am not a role model," his commitment to the heart and soul of what makes Inside the NBA merits praise.
