Team USA women's basketball escaped the Olympics with another gold medal, although it was a very close call. The United States got the 67-66 over France in a thriller as Gabby Williams was inches away from sending the game into overtime.

As such, Williams is drawing considerable interest from WNBA teams. Per a report from Rachel Galligan of Winsidr, Williams is in play for a few WNBA teams and is weighing her options .

"Gabby Williams is weighing her WNBA options but also considering remaining in France for the rest of the summer to rest and capitalize on momentum around her Olympic performance, sources tell Winsidr," Galligan wrote on X.

Galligan also mentions a few teams who are "in play" for Williams.

"A central issue will be the team’s commitment to NOT core her," Galligan wrote. "Current teams in play are SEA, NY, PHX."

Williams led France in scoring with 19 points and seven rebounds in the gold medal game. In the semifinal against Belgium, Williams also led the team in scoring with 18 points in 27 minutes.

Her last shot of the Olympics was inches away from sending the game into overtime against the United States, but her foot was on the line.

Williams currently plays for Fenerbahçe S.K. in Turkey but she has WNBA experience. She was originally drafted fourth overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2018 WNBA Draft and played there until 2021. After that, she went overseas before joining the Seattlee Storm in 2022-2023.

Sky star Angel Reese also had a recruiting pitch for Williams after the gold medal game, so it's going to be interesting to see if she can earn a WNBA deal after her run.

As Galligan mentions, Williams could remain in France for the rest of 2024 and then become a fully unrestricted free agent in the offseason, which could possibly land her a big payday.

But, there doesn't seem to be a shortage of interest for Gabby Williams after she won a silver medal.
