U.S. sprinter Quincy Wilson returned home on Monday after a historic stint in the 2024 Paris Olympics. After winning gold in the 4x400m relay, the 16-year-old is now the youngest male Olympian to ever win a medal in the Summer Games.

As expected, Wilson was welcomed by a host of fans at the Dulles International Airport upon his arrival. The media was there to welcome America's latest hero, too, with NBC Washington's Drew Wilder taking the opportunity to interview the young man during a live broadcast.

During the interview, a man is seen approaching Wilson as he is speaking to the reporter. The man in question then proceeded to take a selfie with Wilson without the athlete's permission.

There appeared to have been no malice from the end of the fan, but he did invade Wilson's personal space. This led to some concerned reactions from the folks on X, formerly Twitter.

"Hire him security asap đŸ„Ž" commented a fan.

"Dude in the flannel shirt needs to learn boundaries," read a comment.

"So worried for him. Kid needs some security as he's already a superstar!!The kid," a supporter noted.

"That man is creepy," said another.

"Where are his people? He’s so young," another comment read.

As they say, there's always a price for fame. It appears that Wilson is already learning this hard lesson at a very young age. Hopefully, the teenager has the right people around him to guide him through what will be a fulfilling but also very challenging period in his life.
