NBA Legend Accuses Noah Lyles of Faking COVID At Olympics

Noah Lyles' Olympic journey concluded with a bronze medal in the men's 200-meter final. He stepped onto the Stade de France track full of energy, ready to compete.

After crossing the finish line in third place, Lyles seemed more exhausted than usual. He struggled with his breathing and needed help to exit the stadium.

Following the event, it was reported that Lyles ran with COVID-19, which explained his difficulties.

But former NBA and Washington Wizards star Gilbert Arenas isn't buying it.

In a recent episode of " No Chill ," Arenas blasted Lyles for "faking" the illness. He did so in a dramatic fashion, mocking the USA runner's entire performance while explicitly ranting about him.

Arenas started the show by taunting Lyles for his pre-race introduction, saying, "I don't know what kind of COVID he got, but he got that energy."

He then proceeded to imitate Lyles after the race, parodying his wheelchair exit.

"[Lyles] was so strong on COVID that he tore out of his jersey," Arenas shouted. "He didn't tear his jersey during the race... What kind of COVID boost was that? Come on, Noah, man, take your bronze and keep it moving. We didn't need to see that."

Arenas then showed a video of Lyles partying at a club a few days after the race.

"Y'all crazy, man," Arenas said. "Over here talking about 'he really had COVID.' No the f*** he didn't... You can't be Superman before, and then all of a sudden, your a** is the sickest man walking this planet."

Throughout the 2024 Paris Olympics, Lyles' beef with the NBA was a big storyline. In 2023, he made a comment calling out NBA champions by saying, "World champions of what?"

These remarks drew backlash from multiple NBA stars, including Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, and have followed Lyles ever since.
