The New York Giants will take to the road to face the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon at NRG Stadium. The Giants come into the game 1-0 after beating the Detroit Lions in their first preseason game last week.

The Houston Texans were victorious over the Pittsburgh Steelers evening their record in the preseason at 1-1 after losing the Hall of Fame Game to the Chicago Bears on Aug. 1.

The Giants are hoping to see Daniel Jones on the field for a couple of series. The big thing they will be looking for is his accuracy. After leading the team to the playoffs in 2022, Jones’ accuracy fell off considerably, among other struggles.

Playing behind the worst offensive line in the league probably had something to do with that. Speaking of the line, coaches will keep their eyes on the rebuilt unit as they protect their quarterback.

Both of Big Blue’s top receivers, Malik Nabers and Darius Slayton, are listed as questionable, leaving their status in question. This will provide plenty of opportunities for guys like Isaiah McKenzie, Allen Robinson II, and Miles Boykin to make a case for the final 53-man roster.

For the Texans, the starters are expected to play a series or two this week per recent reports. Quarterback C.J. Stroud and Co. boast offensive threats at every position. The big question for Houston, however, is whether there are enough targets to keep everyone happy.

Last week, newcomer Stefon Diggs was seen on the sidelines berating the young quarterback for not getting him the ball. Diggs finished his night against Pittsburgh without a catch, prompting debate between passion, instruction, and frustration.
