On Wednesday Night, the Las Vegas Raiders held an open practice in front of a large crowd at Allegiant Stadium.

Head coach Antonio Pierce seemed pretty excited about the fanshowing up, as he stated after the practice:

"This is a great opportunity for us to get in front of our fans... Their energy, their passion, their love for the game, that inspires our guys. That gets them going in training camp and these dog days. We're a month into training camp, these guys were really excited. ... One thing we talked about as a team is creating that home field advantage and it starts with our fans and obviously, our play."

Davante Adams was a big factor, as he returned to practice following the birth of his son. According to Raiders' reporter Levi Edwards, Adams repeatedly made big plays, wowing the crowd.

Gardner Minshew apparently had a nice practice as well, with multiple deep connections to Kristian Wilkerson, and Tre Tucker. Minshew is prepping for a big preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys this weekend, which, according to Pierce, could decide the starting quarterback battle.

The Raiders' defense continued to play well in practice, with Tre'von Moehrig, Adam Butler, John Jenkins, Robert Spillane and Luke Masterson all having solid performances on Wednesday.

A good practice is excellent news for the Raiders, as they gear up for their second preseason game this weekend.

Las Vegas is just a few short weeks away from officially kicking off their regular season, if they can string together good performances like this, things will be trending in the right direction.
