The Australian breakdancer known as "Raygun" captured some viral attention for her odd performance at the Paris Olympics and now is speaking out on the "hate" she's received in response.

The 36-year-old dancer, whose real name is Rachel Gunn, turned in one of the most talked-about moments of the Summer Games when she hit the floor with a strange array of gyrating dance moves.

Gunn is now speaking out, saying in an Instagram video that her performance led to plenty of hate from people online.

"I really appreciate the positivity and I am glad I was able to bring some joy into your lives, that is what I had hoped," the dancer known as Raygun said.

"I didn't realize that that would also open the door to so much hate which has frankly been pretty devastating," she added.

Raygun, who represented her country at the World Breaking Championships three times and is considered an expert in the history of breakdancing, said she worked hard to qualify for the Paris Olympics.

'While I went out there and had fun, I did take it very seriously. I worked my butt off preparing for the Olympics and I gave it my all. Truly," she said.
