Angel Reese Turns Heads With Tough And-1 Finish Against Phoenix

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky resumed their 2024 WNBA season with a matchup against the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday night.

The Sky got off to a slow start, going down 15-2 early to the visiting Mercury. But with just over five minutes remaining in the first quarter, Reese stopped the bleeding with an impressive and-1 finish.

Reese reeled in an offensive rebound and quickly released the ball for a tip-in bucket as she went crashing to the court.

This highlight play is all over social media.

This play was pretty much the lone bright spot in the Sky's first quarter. Reese finished the period with three points, three rebounds and one steal on 1/6 shooting from the field as Chicago surrendered an 18-point deficit early.

The Sky will need a big-time performance from Reese if they want to mount a comeback against the veteran Phoenix squad.
