U.S. track and field star Noah Lyles and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill are exchanging jabs from afar.

Earlier this week, Hill took aim at Lyles — accusing him of faking his COVID illness following a bronze medal finish in the 200 meter. The NFL superstar then went on to say that he would beat Lyles in a foot race.

Lyles fired back at Hill during a recent interview with NBC Sports.

“What’s the cheetah guy from football? Well, I can’t remember his name... What's the football player who thinks he's fast name?"

Here are Hill's full comments that provoked this jab from Lyles:

"Noah Lyles can't say nothing after what just happened to him," Hill said on Up & Adam s. "... He wants to come out and pretend that he's sick. I feel like that's horseradish. For him to do that then say we're not world champions of our sport... Come on bruh. Just speak on what you know about."

"I would beat Noah Lyles. I would beat Noah Lyles," he continued. "... I wouldn't beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles. And when I beat him, I'm going to put on a COVID mask and let him know I mean business."

Lyles won gold in the 100 meter with a thrilling photo finish. After he finished bronze in the 200 meter, he revealed that he'd tested positive for COVID two days earlier.

Hill is heading into his third NFL season with the Dolphins, fresh off back-to-back All-Pro campaigns.
