Miami Heat Respond to Phoenix Suns' Viral Social Media Jab

The Miami Heat's social media team didn't let the Phoenix Suns slide for a targeted X post. Instead, they shut down the shade thrown their way with solid facts.

The NBA released the full schedule for all 30 teams on Thursday, August 15. As has become accustomed, team social media crews across the league took the opportunity to get creative.

The Suns took to X with a humorous post captioned, "Every team we play this season but as their fanbases. A thread đŸ§”." The thread featured photos representing each team's fanbase, but one team that they did it for caught people's attention.

For the Heat, the Suns used images of DJ Khaled, a vibrant nightclub scene and an arena with empty seats.

Some might ask why a photo of empty seats is included for an organization with three NBA titles.

The reason is that Heat supporters are known to arrive fashionably late to games due to heavy traffic around the Kaseya Center.

Miami's social media team responded by sharing the top attendance averages for the 2023-24 season, revealing that Miami was ranked fourth while Phoenix is ranked 24th.

What started as a playful joke ended up with the Heat ultimately having the last laugh. Maybe next time, the Suns should collect all their facts before taking to social media.
