Watch: Tornado Abruptly Ends High School Football Team's Practice

For the most part, football is a rain or shine game that can be played in any sort of weather, which is something that fans love about the game.

There are some circumstances, though, that require teams to get off the field in order to keep themselves safe.

One such high school football team found that out on Friday afternoon. A wild video posted on X, formerly Twitter, showed a tornado hitting the ground right by this team's practice field, forcing them to quickly flee and take cover.

Thankfully, the tornado appears to touch down on the opposite end of the field that this team was standing at, resulting in everyone sprinting to safety.

This was an incredibly scary scene, though, and everyone is hoping and praying that no one was injured as a result of this sudden tornado.

It's pretty crazy that this ended up getting caught on video, and it's safe to say that if there's something that's going to prevent football from being played, it's a tornado.
