After months of speculation, Late Kick host and Pate State commissioner Josh Pate has made his long-awaited commitment in the highly anticipated gas station recruiting wars.

Pate announced his decision to partner with Quick Trip on Instagram, beating out a final four that included offers from Racetrac, Loves, and Pilot.

"It's a big moment. We've waited a long time for it. I got four really great companies here in front of me. ... It's Quick Trip. We're going with Quick Trip," Pate said in his commitment video , mirroring the suspense of a five-star recruit choosing his future college.

The partnership, which Pate describes as the "best synergy he’s ever experienced in any negotiation," fell into place like butter on warm toast.

"The promise I gave you guys a long time ago was, anytime we partnered with someone, I was going to make sure that it benefited all of us," Pate expressed. "In our meetings with Quick Trip, I explained exactly that. They finished our sentences for us."

In true Pate State fashion, Pate didn’t just secure a personal deal—he made sure his entire Late Kick community would reap the benefits, too.

"I said, my folks want free gas, that's what they want. So, in almost presidential fashion, I can announce tonight that the powers that be at Quick Trip have authorized me to give away literal thousands of dollars in free gas this fall," Pate revealed.

As Pate gears up for the upcoming season of Late Kick , please take a moment to share the show and grow the college football community by spreading the word to others who might enjoy the content. We've heard plenty of whispers and intel that suggest it's top two, and it's not two.

Pate is firmly committed to Quick Trip, so we ask that you respect his decision because he is poised to fuel the entire Pate State community.
