From an Anthony Edwards quote during the NBA playoffs to a commercial featuring the two players he was talking about: The summer of NBA rumors continue to involve the Minnesota Timberwolves and Kevin Durant.

Jaden McDaniels is now reportedly starring in a commercial for Durant's signature shoe.

This comes after Edwards's quote during the NBA playoffs when he famously said:

"They got KD but we got Jaden McDaniels."

The commercial script goes like this:

KD : You think you could do it? I'm talking about the will to stand up to the best."

McDaniels : "I know I can do it, I've been ready since I was a kid. Good defense means always been ready, it's knowing what will happen next," he says. "Defense is being prepared for every step of the journey, no matter where you are now. You got that down?"

KD : "I see you youngin."

    McDaniels : "I got next."

    KD : "You got next."

EDITOR'S NOTE : The link to the video of the commercial seems to have been deleted by the time of publishing.

Some media reports have already speculated the "Slim Reaper" could be teaming up with Edwards and the Timberwolves in the future, especially after the Team USA teammates bonded further months after Edwards made it known Durant was a favorite player to look up to.

"I think everybody here knows that's my favorite player of all time. That was probably one of the best feelings every in my whole life for sure," Edwards said during after trash-talking exchange with Durant during the NBA playoffs.

Durant has recognized the admiration and shown his appreciation for the young, budding star, saying he loves "everything about Ant."

McDaniels, meanwhile, has been wearing Durant's signature shoes for the majority of his NBA career.

Durant still has two years remaining on his contract with the Phoenix Suns, but it wouldn't come as a shock to see Durant want to finish his career elsewhere, especially if Phoenix doesn't improve.

Some have speculated a trade involving Karl-Anthony Towns could be the move for Minnesota, but time will tell if all the speculation is worth the final result.
