The WNBA season was on pause for about a month to make way for the 2024 Paris Olympics, which means players like Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark got a much-needed break.

It also means that fans were without Clark's highlight reel plays for far too long, and that wait finally came to an end on Friday. She and her Fever squad welcomed a Phoenix Mercury team with four Olympians to Indiana as Clark and company look to continue to solidify themselves as a playoff team, sitting just one spot below the Mercury at No. 7 in the playoff standings.

It didn't take long for Clark to get social media buzzing about her performance, as she hit a near-logo three as the shot clock was expiring early in the first quarter and racked up 16 points in just eight minutes. While fans loved her scoring, they also loved her display of passing as she was able to thread the needle on a beautiful pass to Kelsey Mitchell through traffic.

Her strong first-half showing led to two-time NBA All-Star and now gold medalist Tyrese Haliburton taking to social media to let fans know just how impressed he was.

"Hope y’all seeing what 22 doin at Gainbridge," Haliburton wrote while watching Clark pop off in her first game back from break.

The Indiana Pacers star has frequently shown support for Clark and clearly made it a point to catch a game after a tough journey to a gold medal in Paris. At the half, Clark and the Fever led by a score of 54-37. Their dominance continued until the end of the game at 98-89, preventing a three-game win streak for Diana Taurasi and company.
