American gymnastics legend Aly Raisman is among those furious about the ruling that stripped Jordan Chiles of her bronze medal.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Chiles initially claimed a podium finish in the Floor Exercise finals after a last-second score change saw her jump up two spots from fifth place.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) later ruled the score inquiry invalid, claiming it was issued outside of the allowed one-minute window. USA Gymnastics submitted video evidence showing that the inquiry was made in time, but that evidence was rejected.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) ultimately decided that it would reallocate Chiles' bronze medal to Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu.

Raisman slammed this decision during an appearance with TODAY on Friday.

Raisman won bronze in Balance Beam at the 2012 London Olympics after her coach submitted a score inquiry that bumped her from fourth to third. Unlike Chiles, her score change was upheld.

“My inquiry was accepted and I was able to keep my medal, so to be honest, what Jordan’s going through is just so different from what I’ve experienced and it’s unacceptable," Raisman said on TODAY.

"Don’t have the words right now. But this is so unacceptable & heartbreaking. No athlete should ever go through this. This is unfair & cruel. Athlete fairness & athlete mental health matters. Athletes should not suffer from mistakes that are out of their control. & the bullying must stop!" she added in a separate social media post earlier this week.

USA Gymnastics is still fighting for Chiles to maintain her first individual Olympic medal.
