Simone Biles Smoked Her NFL Husband in Unconventional Athletic Challenge

Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens recently admitted to his teammates that he underestimated the athletic ability of his wife Simone Biles, and she made him pay for it.

In a video posted on the Untold Sports TikTok channel, Owens raced Biles in a rope climbing competition — a decision, he explained, that he came to regret.

“I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m fixing to whoop you,’” Owens shared. “Bro, I look over and her legs are straight out at 90 [degrees]. No wasted movement. I’m [flopping around], I made it like halfway up and then I’m like, ‘Nah, stay in your lane.’”

Though Owens may be a starting NFL safety who ran a 4.43 40-yard dash with a 4.06 20-yard shuttle time and a 43-inch vertical leap, but Biles is considered the greatest gymnast of all-time.

She’s won 11 Olympic medals, including seven gold, and her ability to jump, twist, spin and tumble combined with the upper-body strength needed to pull off the incredibly difficult routines she did at the 2024 Paris Olympics in vault, the floor exercise, balance beam and the uneven bars made her a challenger Owens never stood a chance against.

While most husbands would typically be ashamed to admit they lost any kind of competition to their wife, especially one in the NFL, Owens is not afraid to give Biles her due.
