There's a heated debate around the NFL world over who holds the crown as the greatest tight end of all time.

The debate essentially boils down to two options: Rob Gronkowski and Travis Kelce.

During a recent interview, Gronk was asked who he's taking in the tight end GOAT debate.

"For longevity, yes. [Kelce] is still going. I'm not. I'm on the bench," Gronkowski said.

The former New England Patriots TE was also asked to pick between Kelce and George Kittle heading into the 2024 NFL season.

"I'm going with Kelce," Gronk continued. "He's come through in the Super Bowl more than Kittle. It's Kelce."

Gronkowski finished his 11-year NFL career with four Super Bowl wins, five Pro-Bowl selections and four All-Pro honors. The 35-year-old tight end retired following his 2021 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kelce is heading into this 12th NFL season and will turn 35 in October. The four-time All-Pro TE is on the hunt for a Super Bowl three-peat with the Chiefs this coming season.

Gronk is the better tight end and he was a much better blocker than Kelce and you have to take into consideration Gronk's accomplishments while missing a lot of games due to injuries or surgeries and still broke records
