Fair or Foul? Giants' Daniel Jones Blasted by Tom Brady

Is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time still bitter about his lack of success against the New York Giants, or is Daniel Jones thought of that poorly across the NFL?

It was supposed to be funny. It was supposed to be a joke.

But to many, it came across as an unnecessary cheap shot from the GOAT.

During Fanatics Fest late this week, Tom Brady spoke about how he was preparing for his new broadcast career on FOX and how he would handle acknowledging when a player made a mistake.

"Let's say Daniel Jones throws an interception," Brady said. "I wasn't even being critical of Daniel Jones ... maybe I was a little bit."

It was a message that Brady seemed to be going out of his way to set. For one thing, Jones has never really been a turnover machine (he actually led the league with the lowest interception percentage in 2022).

It didn't stop Brady from trying to use New York's starting quarterback as the butt of a joke.

Now Jones is nowhere close to being considered among the elites of the position. He has compiled a 22-36-1 record as a starter for the Giants and could even be in his final year with the team this season.

For Brady to go out of his way and use Jones as a joke, though, is a sign that the quarterback may not be quite over losing Super Bowls XLII and XLVI to Eli Manning and the Giants in five years.

Whatever the case, it's up to Jones to make the GOAT at the quarterback position eat his own words.
