Shaq Mason is entering his second season with the Houston Texans. The former Buccaneers and Patriots lineman won two Super Bowls during his time in New England. He knows how close this team is and what it’s going to take for Houston to take the next step and contend for a title.

Shaq talked this week about how he feels the offensive line is coming along and the improvements he is seeing from quarterback C.J. Stroud.

On how good he feels the offensive line can be when everyone is healthy

Shaq: Man, we can be very good. We can be. It's good to have everybody out there just getting on one accord, practicing together. So, I mean we just - out there just trying to take it one day at a time.

On where he has seen the most growth in QB C.J. Stroud

Shaq: I think his attention to detail and I think that's a big thing coming into year two. For a rookie it's just - with the rookie season that he had, just growing and key-detailing and fine-tuning everything and I mean, he's come in and he's been very determined.

On DT Folorunso Fatukasi setting the tone for the defense early in practice

Shaq: Absolutely, I mean, Foley, we go way back from those New England, New York days, so I've been playing Foley for a long time and I know exactly what he's capable of in a defense like this.
