Knicks Make Jericho Sims Move
By Lance Roberson,

Jericho Sims is now destined to stay with the New York Knicks.
After a successful offseason, Leon Rose put the figurative cherry on top of a tremendous summer for the franchise.
What's happened? The Knicks have guaranteed Sims' $2.09 million contract, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Sims played 138 games, starting 32, in the past three seasons for the Knicks.
Although the Knicks front court's rotation appears set with Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, and Precious Achiuwa, Sims must eventually step to the plate.
Firstly, Randle is bound to experience an injury, as he hasn't finished a season healthy for the past two seasons. Randle is mainly a power forward but plays center occasionally.
Robinson is another player who suggests missed time. Over the past two seasons, Robinson played 90 games. Now that Isaiah Hartenstein is gone from the depth chart, Robinson is the starting center. However, Sims' youth and explosion will lend the Knicks a change of pace during the regular season.
Compared to last season, Sims' chances at logging minutes rank higher. However, in a contract year, Sims must capitalize on every minute on the court for a young and unproven center.
The Knicks open the season against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Oct. 22 at 7:30 Eastern Time. Tom Thibodeau is notorious for playing his starters extended minutes, which opens opportunities for the second unit, as minute burnout is a legitimate concern.
