What Must Jayden Daniels Show in Second Preseason Game?

It took two pass attempts last week for Jayden Daniels to show he could not only be a top quarterback of the future, but worthy of being seen as the savior of the Washington Commanders franchise.

Washington is set to take on the Miami Dolphins in the second preseason game of the year for both teams on Saturday night in the Sunshine State. Daniels performed admirably in joint practice against the fish, so more reps are expected to see him perform as well as he did in the opener against the New York Jets.

Daniels took the league by storm on his first NFL completion when he connected with Dyami Brown for a 45-yard gain early in the first quarter.

The play showed the LSU star's ability to not only check the play at the line but also the balance of arm strength and touch possessed as the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.

The Commanders would love to see similar plays like that Saturday night in Miami, but the next step in the growth and maturation process of leading the offense down the field on multiple scoring drives - not just a single series.
