Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes 'Twinning' With Pregnant Wife Brittany on Game Day

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his team faced the Detroit Lions in their first home preseason game at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, August 17. Mahomes and the Chiefs took on the Jacksonville Jaguars in their preseason opener last week at EverBank Stadium, during which they lost 26-13.

For Mahomes, the preseason home opener was a family affair. His wife Brittany Mahomes, who's pregnant with the couple's third child, greeted Mahomes on the sidelines and wished him good luck, as she does before every game. Joining Brittany on the field, their daughter, Sterling, and son, Bronze.

A video of their sweet family moment racked up thousands of likes on social media. Fans loved Brittany's game day outfit, as she rocked the same shirt Mahomes wore while arriving at Arrowhead earlier that afternoon.

The Mahomes' throwback t-shirt celebrated the Chiefs' first championship in 1969, a 23-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. With Mahomes at the helm, the franchise has added three more Lombardi Trophies to their name.

Brittany wrote on her Instagram Stories, "Twinning with my hubs and game days with my babies is always the best 😊."

While the family looked picture perfect, Brittany revealed on her Instagram Stories last month that she's been struggling with her third pregnancy. "Good morning just me and my skin that's losing it's mind..." she wrote to her 2 million followers. "This pregnancy has been the hardest on me... sickness, exhaustion and now skin!"

As for Mahomes, he was on top of his game agains the Lions on Saturday. On his second offensive snap, he connected with rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy on a 39-yard pass. Midway through the first quarter, Mahomes completed the long-awaited, behind-the-back pass to tight end Travis Kelce before backup Carson Wentz took over.
