Running back D’Onta Foreman wasted no time making an impact in his debut with the Cleveland Browns , scoring his first touchdown for the team during their Week 2 preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings .

The Browns, eager to see what their new acquisition could bring to the field, witnessed Foreman find the end zone on a 1-yard run, capping off an impressive drive.

The game started with the Vikings striking first as quarterback Nick Mullens led a successful drive, connecting with wide receiver Thrishton Jackson for a 14-yard touchdown. The Browns responded by putting Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center, orchestrating a drive with a key 15-yard completion to wide receiver Jamari Thrash on a critical 4th-and-2 situation at Minnesota’s 44-yard line.

Foreman signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Browns in March 2024, and he took full advantage of his opportunity. The drive culminated with Foreman powering his way into the end zone, marking his first touchdown as a Cleveland Brown . This touchdown adds to his growing list of career achievements, which include 2,668 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns across 52 games with the Texans, Titans, Panthers, and Bears.

Foreman’s journey to Cleveland has been marked by perseverance. Originally drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Foreman has since played for several teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and Chicago Bears.

His most productive season came in 2022 with the Panthers, where he rushed for a career-high 914 yards and five touchdowns.

Now, with his first touchdown as a Brown, Foreman looks poised to be a key contributor to Cleveland’s backfield as they prepare for the upcoming season.
