    Caitlin Clark And Diana Taurasi Share Iconic Interaction During Fever-Mercury

    Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever hosted the Phoenix Mercury on Friday for their first game back from the WNBA's hiatus for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

    The game featured a matchup between two of the WNBA's biggest stars, Clark and Diana Taurasi.

    During the game, Clark and Taurasi shared a cool exchange where the Mercury veteran gave a side hug to the Fever rookie. Both players showed respect for one another and gave WNBA fans one of the most iconic photos of the season.

    WNBA fans were loving the interaction between the two.

    "Hard not to like CC," said one fan.

    "Love this, so cute," mentioned another fan.

    "Sportsmanship," commented another.

    The Fever defeated Taurasi and the Mercury 98-89, behind a masterful performance from the rookie.

    Clark finished the game with 29 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds, shooting an efficient 50% from the field.

    She bumped her season averages to 17.6 points and 8.3 assists per game with the stat line.

    Taurasi ended the match with 16 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

    Despite the Mercury having the more experienced roster, with players like Taurasi, Brittney Griner, and Kahleah Copper, Indiana has gone 3-0 against Phoenix this season.

    With the victory, the Fever advanced to 12-15 on the season, currently ranked as the No. 7 team in the WNBA rankings. Phoenix stands just ahead of Indiana at No. 6 in the standings with a 14-13 record.
