Bills BREAKING: Josh Allen Not Starting at Steelers; Plan Change

    By Mike Fisher,

The Buffalo Bills had a plan.

We’re betting the weather in Pittsburgh tonight may have changed that plan.

This week, the Bills said that they would play all of their starters, including MVP QB Josh Allen, and that they would do so into the second quarter.

Yet on the Bills’ first possession, it is Mitch Trubisky, not Allen, who was under center.

    The explanation for the alteration?

    We’ve got a good guess …

Buffalo announced on the team website Friday afternoon that Pro Bowl quarterback Josh Allen and starters will play for over a quarter and a half when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday afternoon. While the plan if for the starters to play over a quarter of action in Pittsburgh, the weather might alter their plans.

Rain is scheduled in the forecast in the Steel City - something that has altered plans for other teams around the league as they decide who to start and sit in the preseason.

For the most part, though, it doesn't seem like it will completely alter McDermott's ideas otherwise … though it’s Trubisky’s show for now.
