The Cleveland Browns faced off against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2 of the NFL preseason, ultimately falling 27-10 on Saturday.

With starting quarterback Deshaun Watson and backup Jameis Winston not playing, the focus was on the team’s backup quarterbacks, Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Tyler Huntley , as they made their case to secure a spot on the Browns' roster.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson took the reins for the first half, leading the Browns to their only touchdown of the game. The drive was highlighted by a crucial 15-yard completion to wide receiver Jamari Thrash on a 4th-and-2 from Minnesota’s 44-yard line. This set up a 1-yard touchdown run by D’Onta Foreman , bringing the score to 13-7 at halftime. Thompson-Robinson finished his day with 13 completions on 17 attempts, totaling 126 yards with one interception.

Tyler Huntley entered the game in the second half, looking to build on the momentum. While he managed to guide the Browns to a field goal, Huntley struggled with consistency, throwing two interceptions. He completed 14 of his 20 pass attempts for 135 yards and added 19 yards on the ground with four rushes.

As the Browns continue to evaluate their quarterback depth, both Thompson-Robinson and Huntley are being closely monitored to determine who will secure the backup spots behind Watson and Winston. With one more preseason game remaining, the competition remains tight, and the pressure is on for both quarterbacks to make a final impression.
