The New York Jets have three edge rushers of varying statuses vying for a single roster spot going into the final week of training camp:

Takk McKinley, Eric Watts, and Braiden McGregor.

McGregor and Watts are UDFAs signed by the team this offseason with McGregor looking better in-game action and Watts performing better in practice.

Of the three, McKinley has been the most balanced with great camp moments and game film as well.

Making matters even more interesting is the fact that the Jets have offered more money to the likes of Watts than they did for McGregor of McKinley to this point.

So who has the edge in the push for the final roster spot?

Unlike other position battles, this current one on the defensive line won't be solved right away. Each player has had their moments to shine with the Jets and is more than deserving to make the final roster.

It could eventually come down to the final preseason game against the New York Giants next week which will determine which player gets the final roster spot.

Whatever happens, though, it's clear that McGregor, Watts, and McKinley are more than deserving of a Jets roster spot due to the work they have put into this point.
