Simone Biles Facing Backlash for Controversial Outfit at Husband's Preseason Game

All-time great gymnast Simone Biles was at Soldier Field on Saturday afternoon to support her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens.

Owens spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Houston Texans before joining the Green Bay Packers for the 2023 season. Following his year in Green Bay, he signed a two-year contract with the division-rival Bears.

While Owens is rocking a Chicago uniform, Biles' wardrobe hasn't quite caught up to the team change.

The American Olympian took the field Saturday wearing a jacket featuring images of Owens in his Packers uniform. The jacket was littered with Green Bay logos, drawing backlash from Chicago fans.

"Simone Biles should be stripped of all her medals after wearing Packers gear while cheering for the Bears. Yeah yeah I get it, her husband played for the packers and it’s an Owens themed jacket, but this is just wrong," one wrote.

"She gets a pass but c’mon man!" another said.

"Simone Biles wearing a jacket covered in packers logos in Chicago. WHAT ARE WE DOING!?!?" another added.

"Jonathan Owens might need to have a chat with Simone about team loyalty. Wearing a Packers jacket at a Bears game? That’s cold," another wrote.

When Owens signed with the Bears earlier this year, Biles took to social media with a thank you message for the Green Bay organization and its fans.

"Just wanted to say thank you packer nation for embracing my husband & I [love]  green bay will always hold a special place in our hearts!" she wrote on X.

The Bears took down the Cincinnati Bengals, 27-3, on Saturday, moving to 3-0 in the preseason. Chicago will play its final preseason game on Aug. 22 against the Kansas City Chiefs .
