Suni Lee Has Emotional Olympic Flashback In New York City

Despite being back home in the United States for around a week now, U.S. gymnast Suni Lee is still on a bit of an Olympic high. You can't really blame the 21-year-old after she took the Summer Games by storm with her incredible performances on the grandest of stages.

This resulted in three more Olympic medals for Lee, who bagged a gold in the team all-around final and two bronze medals in the individual all-around and uneven bars finals. Lee now has six Olympic medals in her name, firmly establishing her as one of the most decorated gymnasts in the United States.

The fact that she's seeing herself everywhere back home isn't helping Lee in terms of moving on from her memorable trip to Paris. On Sunday, Lee took to Instagram to share a photo taken in the busy streets of New York.

The highlight of the snap is a massive billboard of Suni and the rest of the U.S. gymnastics team during their gold medal-winning performance in the team final on July 30. Lee could not help but get a bit emotional after seeing the ad.

"spotted in nyccc 👀 🥹 " Lee captioned her photo.

Based on her teary-eyed emoji, it would probably be safe to assume that the emotions from that incredible moment all came rushing back for Lee when she saw the larger-than-life Nike billboard -- in New York City, no less.

The high from what was a truly memorable Paris Olympics will die down eventually. At the very least, Suni is able to look back at it with the fondest and most cherished memories.
