It is safe to say that Alabama will continue to be the hottest story for the 2024 college football season. Whether it be questions about the new staff, roster depth, defensive schemes, and etc., this is no different than prior seasons.

Even though Nick Saban is no longer leading the team, Alabama is still receiving its fair share of criticism and negativity during another offseason.

On Monday, fans finally were given the official Preseaon AP Poll Top 25 , where the Tide cracked within the top 5. However, it seems that experts and analysts still are not convinced Alabama will be the same team without Saban as head coach.

PFF College released their own personal rankings on Friday, and their list shows big differences than the official AP Poll.

PFF College has Alabama dropped a couple of spots down to No. 7.

The thing to consider is the fact that Alabama hasn't played a single down of regular season football under this new staff. Sitting and judging a team without true reps can be pointless. Still, it leads one to wonder what is truly in store for the Tide in 2024.

The positive thing for fans to remember, is that DeBoer has taken the nation by storm with his relationship to players, and his recruiting job so far this offseason. He is recruiting at the highest level, and is creating a unique relationship with all of his players.

Preseason rankings can often be pointless, and no one can valuate how a team will perform without being tested.

But Alabama will always be ready. We are a few weeks away from getting so many answers to questions that cannot be answered at this moment in time.
