Vanessa Bryant Flexes Feat Ahead of Kobe's Birthday, Mamba Day

As Kobe Bryant's 46th birthday and Mamba Day approaches, his wife, Vanessa Bryant, continues to honor the legacy of the late Los Angeles Lakers icon and their daughter, Gianna, through the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.

Kobe's birthday is on Aug. 23, while Mamba Day is on Aug. 24. To commemorate both events, the foundation launched a line of merchandise called the "LA Royal" collection.

It includes sweatshirts, sweatpants, hoodies, shirts, and shorts, all in purple and gold colors.

"Throughout Kobe’s entire career, he gave his heart to the city of Los Angeles while wearing purple and gold," wrote the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation on Instagram . "These colors represent his deep love for the game, the Lakers, and the city of Los Angeles."

In just one day, the collection sold out, as Vanessa proudly shared on Instagram.

It's the latest feat for Vanessa in honoring Kobe and Gianna, who both died from a helicopter crash in California in January 2020.

In 2022, she introduced a limited-edition jewelry line in collaboration with a LA-based brand. The "MAMBACITA x ZC" collection was launched during Mamba Day and featured pieces engraved with symbols and quotes that celebrate Kobe and Gianna. All proceeds went to their foundation.

In February 2024, the Lakers unveiled the statue of Kobe at the Star Plaza outside the Crypto.com Arena. The five-time champion and 18-time All-Star became the sixth Lakers player commemorated with a statue after Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Magic Johnson, and Shaquille O’Neal.
