Following the Las Vegas Raiders' second preseason game versus the Dallas Cowboys, the coaching staff appears to have more questions than answers regarding the team's quarterback competition.

Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell have been battling it out for the team's starting job throughout the offseason and are now splitting reps in the preseason.

Following the Raiders' 27-12 loss versus the Cowboys on Saturday, Antonio Pierce spoke on the team's quarterback situation, stating, "I wish it had ended well for both gentlemen, and it just didn't."

Both quarterbacks faced their share of struggles against Dallas, finishing a combined 24/41 for 191 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Aidan O'Connell completed 14 of his 20 pass attempts for 96 yards and a touchdown with an interception, while Gardner Minshew completed 10 of his 21 pass attempts for 95 yards without a touchdown or interception.

While one could argue O'Connell had the better performance of the two with more completions and a touchdown, the second-year quarterback showed his inexperience with the interception, throwing a pick-six on a pass intended for tight end Harrison Bryant.

Minshew played decent and took care of the ball, but completed less than 50 percent of his passes with 21 attempts.

Though each quarterback struggled, the most confident throw of the night came from Minshew, who stepped up in the pocket and delivered a 48-yard strike to Tre Tucker.

It appears the decision will be tough for the Raiders coaching staff as neither quarterback has taken over the position battle over the other. With one final preseason game versus the San Francisco 49ers, Antonio Pierce will look for a strong performance from his quarterbacks to help make his decision easier.
