The Atlanta Braves bats bludgeoned the Los Angeles Angels last night to even the series at one game each.

In the final game of this three-city, ten-game road trip and with an off day tomorrow, look for the Braves to pull out all the stops to secure a winning road trip in the series finale. Veteran righthander Charlie Morton (6-7, 4.40 ERA) is on the mound opposite youngster Jack Kochanowicz (1-2, 7.98), making just his fourth career MLB start.

Lineups for the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels on Sunday, August 18th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

    CF Michael Harris II
    3B Austin Riley
    DH Marcell Ozuna
    1B Matt Olson
    RF Ramón Laureano
    LF Jarred Kelenic
    SS Orlando Arcia
    C Sean Murphy
    2B Whit Merrifield

Morton's looking for his first win against the Angels since returning to Atlanta for the 2021 season. He's faced them in each of the last two seasons, but with one no-decision coming in 2022 and a loss last summer after allowing three runs in six innings. With Mike Trout (meniscus tear) out for the season and Anthony Rendon (elbow) unlikely to play, there's not a lot of returning experience against Morton on LA's roster: Old friend Kevin Pillar is 2-13, while Jo Adell is 2-3, Brandon Drury is 2-5, and Taylor Ward is 1-5.

Here's the configuration for the Angels in the series finale:

    LF Taylor Ward
    SS Zach Neto
    1B Nolan Schanuel
    DH Niko Kavadas
    3B Brandon Drury
    C Matt Thiass
    RF Jo Adell
    CF Mickey Moniak
    2B Michael Stefanic

Kochanowicz, 23, has struggled in his young MLB career to date. Covering just 14.2 innings across the three outings, he's struck out just seven while walking four and allowing fourteen runs (thirteen earned) on twenty hits. He's coming off of the best start to date, however, going 7.2 innings with just two runs allowed on six hits to the Washington Nationals last weekend in a 6-4 Angels win.

How to Watch the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels on Sunday, August 18th

The series finale out west is scheduled for 4:07 PM ET and is being broadcast on Bally Sports - the Braves will have it on Bally Sports Southeast, while the Angels have it on Bally Sports West.

The radio call can be found on 680 AM/93.7 The Fan and on Atlanta Braves radio network affiliates across Braves Country.
