Marquez Valdes-Scantling - a hero on the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl championship run in each of the last two seasons. His playing career appeared to be in jeopardy last night.

MVS was hit by three Steelers in Buffalo's 9-3 win Saturday night in the second preseason game of the 2024 schedule and left on a cart due to a neck injury.

For a team in the Bills who had several players suffer through neck injuries including former safety Micah Hyde, the concern would be that MVS would be out for an extended period of time.

Instead, Valdes-Scantling received good news on his recovery.

"X-rays came back negative for #Bills WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (neck), per source," Jeremy Fowler reported on Twitter. "Status for this week is uncertain but this is a positive after he left last night’s game on a cart."

Valdes-Scantling is the latest veteran receiver to suffer an injury - even with his injury not considered too serious to hold him out of major games for the 2024 season.

Buffalo has already released Chase Claypool with an injury settlement.

A stinger won't cost Valdes-Scantling the season, but it is still unclear when exactly he will return back to Buffalo's practice field.

At the very least, the Bills finally got some relatively good news on the injury front.
