    'Go Get Better!' Commanders' Dan Quinn On Saturday's 13-6 Loss To Dolphins

    Preseason games don’t really matter in the standings, it’s how teams and coaches treat them that makes them useful. Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn emphasized that following a 13-6 loss to the Dolphins in Miami on Saturday night.

    "We came down here to say ‘Go get better.’," Quinn said. “We had two opportunities to come do that at the practice and at the game, and I think we absolutely did that. It's not going to show that in the win column today but you do learn and you get better in these moments.

    “So, it was just a really good four days for us to find out a lot about our team. Hats off to Mike McDaniel and their team for being great hosts in the practice and in the game -- we knew it would be a good fight and it was."

    The Commanders dropped their second straight preseason game, but gained valuable experience for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and others as Quinn & Co. look to rebuild this team from the ground up.

    The Commanders have a lot of nice pieces on this roster, but it’s games and joint practices like this that allows them to see how and where those pieces fit.

    The Commanders will wrap up their preseason schedule at home next week against the New England Patriots.
