Noah Lyles continues to be a hot topic of conversation even after winning two medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including a gold in the 100m sprint. This time, he claimed he didn't know who a particular Olympic superstar was.

On Saturday night, Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco hosted Lyles on their "Night Cap" podcast and asked him if he thinks Nikola Jokic is one of the best basketball players in the world.

Lyles laughed and replied, "I'm going to be honest. I don't know who that is."

Nikola Jokic is a three-time NBA MVP, six-time NBA All-Star and has been selected to five All-NBA First Teams. Additionally, Jokic just led the Serian basketball team to a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This isn't the first time he's said he didn't know a well-known professional athlete. Last week, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was on the receiving end of a similar statement. After some back-and-forth banter between Lyles and Hill, it seems like they may have a race to settle who is faster.

It is unclear whether Lyles is serious about his comments toward Jokic or even Tyreek Hill, but regardless, fans are tired of his cockiness, and this is just adding to that.

One fan said, "Noah is going to talk himself into irrelevance."

"He's just trying to get more & more exposure. 100% he knows who Jokic is," another added.

"This guy is doing everything in his power to stay relevant."

Lyles' run of making headlines began when he started the debate that NBA champions should not be considered world champions.

He then raised eyebrows when he confidently said he would win the 100m, won it, and then screamed into a broadcast camera, "America! I told you, I got this!"

Confidence is certainly not an issue for Lyles, and it will be interesting to see if Jokic responds.
