Quincy Wilson Embarrasses Former NFL Player During Recent Competiton

Team USA sprinter Quincy Wilson made a name for himself at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Despite only running in the qualifying round of the 4x400m relay, which is a race where four runners sprint 400 meters each before passing the baton to the runner in front of them, Wilson instantly became a fan favorite due to his age.

The 16-year-old from Chesapeake, Virginia, became the youngest American male track and field athlete to participate in the Olympics. He did not compete in the final, but since the USA came in first place, Wilson did take home a gold medal.

Following the Olympics, Wilson made an appearance at Fanatics Fest, an event in New York City that brings fans from across all sports to celebrate athletics. At the event, Wilson partook in a 40-yard dash race between former NFL and Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder.

Wilson easily won the race, but it was how he did it that was really embarrassing for the former football star. The sprinter finished the race in 4.86 seconds without putting in much effort. It appeared Wilson was just jogging to the finish line and laughing along the way. Not only that, but he was also wearing a pair of jeans. To be fair, Crowder was also wearing jeans, but he still got beaten pretty badly.

Fans immediately went to the comment section to leave their reactions to Wilson's performance in the friendly competition.

"Bruh was jogging," one fan said.

"Bro jogged a 4.86," commented another with a skull emoji.

"Bro ran a 4.8 in jeans, laughing, high stepping, designer shoes. Tyreek chasing Lyles, he gotta prove to me he can be Wilson in a 50M," added a third.

"Bro ran a 4.86 in jeans while laughing," said a fourth.

As the leadoff of the qualifying round, Wilson ran an underwhelming 47.27-second split, putting Team USA in seventh place. His teammates Vernon Norwood, Bryce Deadmon and Christopher Bailey had to make up for his poor time, resulting in a third-place finish and just squeaking out a finals appearance.

Crowder played college ball with the Florida Gators, being named a first-team All-American and a two-time first-team All-SEC player. He was selected with the No. 70 pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, where he spent five years with the Dolphins from 2005-2010.
