Bo Nix Keeps It Real On Broncos QB1 Battle After Preseason Performance

The Denver Broncos starting quarterback battle got even more complicated after Sunday's win over the Green Bay Packers. The Bo Nix-Jarrett Stidham battle took another turn as both signal-callers saw ample playing time.

However, Nix took a step forward after another strong outing. He finished 8-of-9 for 80 yards, a touchdown, and three carries for 12 years in the 27-2 blowout win.

After the game, Nix was asked whether or not he has done enough to lock in the QB1 job, and he gave a simple answer (h/t Zac Stevens of DNVR).

"That's not for me to decide."

Nix was then asked if he is comfortable with what he has done so far, and he said one word: "Yep."

The 2024 first-round pick went 15-of-21 for 125 yards and a touchdown in the preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts.

Now, he once again plays well, essentially showing he can take the job from Day One after a strong run with the Oregon Ducks. It was also Nix's first game at Mile High Stadium , and he gave the fans exactly what they were hoping for.

The Broncos have one more preseason game on August 25 against the Arizona Cardinals. Whether or not it is Nix or Stidham remains to be seen.

So far, Nix looks to be the favorite to start the season in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks.
