Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark has brought an unprecedented level of attention to the WNBA. With the amount of money the league is making from the former Iowa Hawkeyes star, one would think she should be compensated higher than she actually is.

Even the Fever has seen sales for almost everything skyrocket since Clark joined the team. In a recent social media post , Indiana highlighted that ticket sales are up 264.6%, jersey sales are up 1193% and corporate sponsorships are up 225%, among other things.

Clark is well aware of the increase in profits for the Fever and in an interview after the Fever faced the Seattle Storm, she compared her salary to the much higher season ticket prices.

"[Season tickets] are pretty expensive," Clark said with a smile on her face. "It's like our entire salary to get those. I'm not kidding."

After being selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, Clark signed a four-year, $338,056 salary. That comes out to just $84,514 per year.

Before the season started, the cheapest 2024 Fever season ticket price was $1,653. Obviously, this is a small portion of Clark's salary, so there was some humor in her response to the prices.

The Fever play in 20 home games during the season and 20 away, 40 total. So, the average price per game for the cheapest season ticket holder would be just above $82, which is a significant amount. But that is the Caitlin Clark effect at its finest.
