On Sunday, Suni Lee posted a short video on Instagram that showcased a larger-than-life Nike ad that featured the U.S. gymnastics team. She could not help but get a little bit emotional after seeing the billboard as the memories of her recent incredible run in the Paris Olympics all came back.

What stood out about the post was that Lee spotted the ad in the busy streets of New York City. Fans who were wondering about why the 21-year-old was in the Big Apple over the weekend now have an answer.

Apparently, Lee, who came home from Paris with three more Olympic medals, is leaving her hometown of Saint Paul, Minnesota after deciding to reside in NYC. Lee made the announcement via Threads on Sunday evening.

"life is crazy can u believe i’m bout to be a new yorker !!!🥹," she posted .

Lee did not provide any other information about her big move so at this point, we are all in the dark in terms of her motivation behind this major life decision.

Lee, who was born and raised in Saint Paul, will now be a full-fledged New Yorker in the near future. You can be sure, however, that despite the 8 million-strong population of one of the busiest cities in the world, Lee will still stand out from the pack.

After all, how many New Yorkers do you know have six Olympic medals in their name?
