Flournoy Talks 'Surreal' TD Grab vs. Las Vegas

The Dallas Cowboys eased past the Las Vegas Raiders 27-12 at Allegiant Stadium , and the offense registered its first preseason touchdown in the process.

With Trey Lance at the wheel, as the Cowboys need to see him get as many snaps as possible, the former first-round pick connected with rookie receiver Ryan Flournoy, who left his Raiders opponent in the dust.

Lance lofted a delightful ball to a wide-open Flournoy, who hauled it in. Cue the celebrations.

"It felt surreal," Flournoy said of his touchdown grab. "Crazy experience. Something I always dreamed of. To have that happen, nothing but God honestly."

With Flournoy impressing during training camp in Oxnard, after barely being sighted in Dallas' first preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams, he came back with a vengeance against Las Vegas, catching four passes for 23 yards to go with his touchdown.

"I got the play call, I knew he was thinking slant, so I tried to sell the slant," Flournoy said. "I saw him jump inside, saw the ball in the air, and it was just a big play from there. God placed me in the right position."

The Cowboys' receiver depth chart is beginning to take shape. With CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert the top three, behind them there are a host of players fighting for a roster spot.

One is Flournoy, and his exploits against the Raiders will no doubt have helped him tremendously. Now, he must back it up against the Los Angeles Chargers in Dallas' third and final preseason game at AT&T Stadium.

If Flournoy thinks catching a touchdown pass in Las Vegas is "surreal," wait until he does it in Jerry World.
