The Boston Celtics obviously had a big year in 2023-24 and will be looking to do the same thing in 2024-25.

The Celtics' schedule is packed with games that could be really Interesting.

Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe compiled a list of the games on Boston’s 2024-25 schedule that could be the most interesting.

What are five of the most interesting matchups the Celtics will have this season?

    Minnesota Timberwolves

    Nov. 24 at Boston

    Jan. 2 at Minnesota

Himmelsbach's take: This would have been a fun Finals matchup. The teams split their two regular-season meetings last year, with both going to overtime. Athletic 23-year-old guard Anthony Edwards took a step toward becoming the next face of the league last season and will be looking to build on that momentum following a strong performance at the Olympics.

    Indiana Pacers

    Oct. 30 at Indiana

    Dec. 27 at Boston

    Dec. 29 at Boston

Himmelsbach's take: Even though the Celtics swept the Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals , Indiana gained a lot of respect from just about everyone in Boston’s organization. It was the Celtics’ toughest test of the playoffs, with three of the four games going down to the wire. Indiana is hoping guard Tyrese Haliburton can regain the MVP-level form he flashed early last year before he was slowed by injuries.

    Milwaukee Bucks

    Oct. 28 at Boston

    Nov. 10 at Milwaukee

    Dec. 6 at Boston

Himmelsbach's take: Maybe the Celtics should bring a thank you card to this one. Milwaukee, of course, traded Jrue Holiday to the Trail Blazers in the deal that brought Damian Lillard to the Bucks, inadvertently setting up the Celtics to add what turned out to be their final missing piece.

    Dallas Mavericks

    Jan. 25 at Dallas

    Feb. 6 at Boston

Himmelsbach's take: This is a long way from becoming a true rivalry, and let’s be honest, the NBA Finals matchup between the teams was pretty one-sided and didn’t have many riveting moments. But a Finals rematch is always going to have some sizzle, and the presence of Celtics villain Kyrie Irving does not hurt.

    Golden State Warriors

    Nov. 6 at Boston

    Jan. 20 at Golden State

Himmelsbach's take: This 2022 NBA Finals rematch has been an alluring matchup for nearly a decade, and it will remain one as long as Stephen Curry plays for Golden State. But Warriors coach Steve Kerr’s use of Jayson Tatum during the Paris Olympics certainly added some intrigue. Kerr did not use Tatum in either of the wins over Serbia, and he was mostly a 10th or 11th man on the 12-man roster. Tatum said all the right things, but he also acknowledged that it was frustrating and humbling .

The Celtics will have their work cut out for them this season but will be in a good position to get the job done.
