Paul Finebaum isn't the most patient fellow in the world when it comes to evaluating the performance of SEC football coaches.

Ahead of the 2024 season, he's eying one program that may undergo major changes in the 2025 offseason if the next few months don't go so well on the field. That program is the Arkansas Razorbacks, who just haven't set the world on fire under Sam Pittman.

When joining the McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning radio show on Monday,  Finebaum was asked his thoughts on Pittman after there was talk of a potential ouster last season. Optimism was hard to scrounge up.

"Well, you do feel badly," Finebaum said of Pittman. "But again, here's a guy who that got a great opportunity, he had one good year, and it's been a mess ever since."

Pittman just hasn't been able to replicate the success he had in 2021, and another 4-8 year like in 2023 simply cannot occur in 2024 if he wants to remain in Fayetteville.

"For Sam Pittman to be taken seriously, you have to start a sentence with anything other than: 'I like Sam Pittman, but... '" Finebaum asserted. "That's when you know you're going off the cliff."

Most folks seem to like Sam Pittman, he comes off as a great dude. But, he just hasn't elevated the Razorback program the way fans would like to see since that nine-win peak in 2021.
