CeeDee Lamb's Cryptic Spider-Man Post Leaves Fans Baffled

CeeDee Lamb's contract holdout with the Dallas Cowboys has reached a critical stage as the start of the new season approaches.

Lamb, who finished last season with a league-high 135 receptions for 1,749 yards, has rejected the Cowboys' latest offer, reportedly around $33 million per year.

On Monday, the 25-year-old wide receiver posted an Instagram Story of a photo of Spider-Man in a black suit, as shared by NFL reporter Dov Kleiman on X.

While the Cowboys remain optimistic about retaining Lamb, the three-time Pro Bowler has remained tight-lipped amid the contract stalemate, and his cryptic post left fans scratching their heads.

"What does this mean?," asked one fan.

"Silver and black," another one theorized, presumably referring to Lamb's move to the Las Vegas Raiders.

"This basically means he’s switching from his old suit to a new suit," one fan wrote.

    "I don’t get it," a fan admitted.

"Any guesses on what he’s saying?" one fan commented.

"This means absolutely nothing," another fan said.

Lamb has yet to appear at training camp, throwing a monkey wrench in the preparations of the Cowboys for the upcoming season.

The contract negotiations came to a head after Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones told reporters that he didn't have "any urgency to get it done." Lamb profoundly responded by posting an eyes emoji on X .

Aside from an increased salary, Lamb is also seeking changes to the structure of the deal.

To recall, the Cowboys also tried playing hardball with quarterback Dak Prescott in 2021. They eventually agreed on a four-year, $160 million extension.

The Cowboys will open their season against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 8.
