NBA insider Shams Charania is usually breaking stories about the biggest moves in the league, but on Monday the biggest story in the NBA is about him being a free agent.

According to a report by The New York Post , the 30-year-old Charania has opted to leave Stadium after six years of working with the company.

He is best known for his work covering free agency and the NBA draft, where he infamously spoils draft picks in crafty ways before they are announced on the broadcast. Aside from working with Stadium , Charania also works for The Athletic and FanDuel TV. Both of his deals at those companies are set to expire soon as reported in July by The Post .

As revealed in the report, the new media rights deal between the NBA and Amazon’s Prime Video and NBC will see both companies bolstering their NBA coverage. Something that Charania could use to his advantage in negotiating his next deal.
