Manti Te'o describes Alabama's intimidation factor before 2013 National Title

The 2013 National Title game between Notre Dame and Alabama is one of the greatest beatdowns in a championship game that has ever been seen.

By the end of the first half, the Crimson Tide already led 28-0 with running back Eddie Lacy running and catching a touchdown pass in the first 30 minutes.

It was never close, and former Fighting Irish linebacker Manti Te'o described how Alabama won the game before it even started on NFL Network’s revamped “Good Morning Football," which Te'o is now a part of.

Te’o remembered how the Irish were the home team and walked out into the tunnel before the start of the game but had to wait before the “visiting team” walked out first.

Standing out front as one of the captains, Te'o could feel the energy of his teammates while they waited for the Crimson Tide to exit their locker room.

“Alabama’s locker room door opens, and they start running out,” Te'o explains. “I do remember this very vividly. My soon-to-be teammate (with the Chargers) DJ Fluker (6-5, 340) and Chance Warmack (6-2, 323) coming running out of the locker room with their jerseys up. Their bellies out, and they had their ‘4s’ up (four fingers on each hand). DJ going by saying, "Womp, womp."

“And I vividly remember the silence behind me, and I kinda glanced at my teammates behind me and the eyes on them. They were so large. I knew at that point, ‘Alright this is gonna be a long day.’”

The Crimson Tide rolled to their second consecutive national championship behind quarterback A.J. McCarron, who threw for 264 yards and four touchdowns in the one-sided contest.

Notre Dame's offense was limited to just 37 rushing yards on a woeful 1.7 yards per carry mark during their embarrassing beatdown that will live in infamy.
