Indiana All-Stars Embrace After Fever Win

    By Lance Roberson,

Tyrese Haliburton, back from his gold medal victory in France, found time to support the Indiana Fever last Sunday. After the Fever's 92-75 victory over the Seattle Storm, Haliburton took to the court to congratulate Caitlin Clark on the win. The Fever are 2-0 since the WNBA All-Star break.

Haliburton joined Obi Toppin and his family in enjoying the WNBA festivities. During the Fever's blowout win, Clark broke a WNBA rookie record by recording her 226th of the season, the most dimes dished by a rookie in the league's history.

As Clark assisted her teammates, Haliburton played the spirited spectator, as he did during his Paris Olympics campaign. Indiana has something special in their two professional basketball stars, as they showcase the humility necessary for an admirable team player and the stardom required to sell tickets.

Similar to Clark, Haliburton endured adversity relating to the Olympics, as Clark wasn't selected for the international spectacle, while the Pacers point guard seldom played during the gold medal journey. Admittedly, they had different experiences, but both displayed a sense of respect and understanding as they fought through their respective obstacle.

Until the Pacers play on the road vs. the Detroit Pistons on October 23, Haliburton has time to support the Fever as they compete for their first playoff berth since 2016.

Haliburton seeks redemption after losing in a 4-0 sweep to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference. Although Indiana didn't register a win against the eventual NBA champions, its improbable 2024 playoff campaign warrants praise.
